Comforting with the Comfort We Received
“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” - 2 Corinthians 1: 3-4.
Having spent a week in the country with the CCIC team, we feel for and pray for Ting (our last blogger) and the team traveling to India today to continue the trip to Bhadrapur and onward to Siliguri for the Children Home and Women Group.
We saw how the team continued to work despite all the ailments of headaches, digestive problems and heat fatigue particularly experienced from Bhakunde, Boudha and Chitwan.
Despite these negative and continuing stressing
experiences, members of the team have endured and continued to be strong as we
received His comfort and passed this on. Rather than take it lying down, members of the team "raised their game" and play ball with the kids under oncoming storm clouds in Boudha (see picture below) or in 30 degree C blazing heat in Chitwan.
As a result, we have been blessed by many
fruitful experiences and expression of joy, contentment and gratitude in the
faces of those we meet and touched in the last few days. Here are some images
that represent some of these touching experiences.
